On November 29, 2020, the handover ceremony took place for the first primary school classroom project jointly donated by the Associate Cambodia Chinese Youth Chamber of Commerce and Golden Charity.

The project involved the construction of a teaching classroom building containing three classrooms, a water well, restrooms, and a flagpole for Lbaeuk Rith Primary School in Lbaeuk Rith Village, Ampil Commune, Banteay Ampil District, Oddar Meanchey Province.
Attendees at the ribbon-cutting ceremony included the Deputy Governor of Banteay Ampil District, the Director of the Education Department, representatives from the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, and representatives from the donating organizations.
“Vigorously developing education aligns with the national ‘Rectangular Strategy’ policy of talent training and human resource development, enabling our youth to become more competitive within ASEAN and on the global stage,” said Deputy Governor Chuoent Samout. He noted that while Cambodia has seen stable development in recent years, the education sector remains somewhat underdeveloped.

The Deputy Governor expressed his gratitude to the donors—Golden Charity, the Associate Cambodia Chinese Youth Chamber of Commerce, LP Charity Fund, GOKENG Furniture & Home Furnishing Co., Ltd., and all other benevolent individuals. He also expressed hope that social groups and charitable organizations would continue to assist other impoverished schools in the district.
Five months ago, upon learning that the classrooms at Lbaeuk Rith Primary School were dilapidated and the teaching environment was poor, the Cambodia-China Youth General Chamber of Commerce and Golden Charity decided to jointly fund the construction of a new teaching building. This initiative garnered support from numerous institutions, organizations, and kind-hearted individuals across society.

Following five months of intensive construction and the dedicated efforts of the entire team, the project was completed, delivering a three-classroom building, a water well, two restrooms, hand-washing stations, and a flagpole. Additionally, GOKENG Furniture & Home Furnishing Co., Ltd. provided brand-new, attractive desks and chairs for the new classrooms.

The teachers and students were delighted to have the opportunity to learn in the new classrooms and improved environment; they pledged to study harder and take good care of the school facilities.
Mr. Hai, President of the Associate Cambodia Chinese Youth Chamber of Commerce, stated that giving back to society is their responsibility. The Chamber was founded with the primary mission of engaging in philanthropy, supporting educational development in impoverished areas, assisting youth with employment and entrepreneurship, and serving as a bridge for cultural exchange and economic cooperation between Cambodia and China.
“This marks the first successful donation of a school classroom since the Chamber’s inception, making it a significant milestone that provides valuable experience for future charitable endeavors. We are grateful for the support of all our members and will continue our efforts to help more children in impoverished regions.”

Established in 2015, Golden Charity has organized 29 large-scale charitable events and numerous smaller initiatives to date. The group is dedicated to assisting vulnerable populations and supporting improvements in education and living conditions in impoverished areas, while also calling upon caring individuals in the community to join the cause.
Mr. Vic, representing Golden Charity and the LP Foundation, noted that the new classroom building, restrooms, and well provide a bright, clean, and comfortable environment for teachers and students. These facilities have significantly improved sanitary conditions at the school, thereby better safeguarding the health of both staff and students.
Golden Charity shares a vision aligned with that of the Associate Cambodia Chinese Youth Chamber of Commerce. Having already co-hosted multiple charitable events, both parties look forward to future collaborations aimed at promoting educational development in Cambodia’s impoverished areas, improving living conditions for local residents, and fostering social progress.
